Was really good reading this article ..My father was the one %26 only Jock Brown..who passed passed away at the age of 96 a couple of years ago
After he retired from the RAF he took a short break but then he returned to flying again as it was in his blood!!
If I remember correctly he worked for British Airworks as a flight instructor which took him to Saudi Arabia then back to the Uk.. He landed up in at RNAS Yeovilton on Hunters before he got found out that he'd removed 10 years off his total age...

Subject:A big HELLO to any who know me.

Having worked on the Vulcan as a FLeM, as well as many other aircraft types during my 22 year RAF career, I would look forward to hearing from any who remember me.
I worked at the Waddington (PIG) Line Squadron, 44 Rhodesia %26 IX.
I've lived outwith the UK for quite a number of years (Morocco %26 presently Spain), hoping/planning to visit the UK in 2016. If there's a reunion I would do my best to attend.
If anyone wishes to know a bit more about me... you could look up my three novels on the www. An Alien Affair, An Alien Rescue %26 An Alien Warning. All Sci-Fi Ebooks.
Other than that, a hello would suffice. Thanks.

Apologies for the typo-correction made to my earlier message, AFC, such is this form of messaging.
also 'and' should be inserted where is has been defaulted. Thank you for your understanding.

I recently read my late father's service history prior to his joining 138; with such at short service period before he and his crew lost their lives after take-off from RAF Wittering 29/07/1955. As his third child, I was just 14 months old. It must be in the blood as his 40 year old grandson Lawrence Rupert enters his 23rd year as a commercial aircraft engineer based in Western Australia.
138 numbers may be dwindling and I wish well all that have served 138, both air and ground crew, a long and happy retirement.

Books about the V force feature many pictures of Valiants. Lots have XC on their tails. 90 squadron were everywhere but little seems to have been written about them. Pity, with Ulf Berburry as wingco I think that we were a merry lot.
I'll be there on Saturday, hope that a sprinkling of Ex-XC ground crew will be too.
I own six Valiants these days - Velocette Valiants! There is a tatty Valiant cockpit at the air museum at Inverness, call in for a touch of nostalgia.

Good Afternoon,

I wonder if anyone can help me, I am searching on behalf of a very dear friend of mine.

We are trying to trace a Tony Hudson who was a Victor Tanker pilot in 1964/65/66.

She lived with her parents in RAF Topcliffe and her father was WingCo Admn.

He was a QFI on Linton on-Ouse on 1977 which was the last contact she had with him.

Would anyone be able to assist in tracing Tony as she would dearly like to make contact with him again.

If you please reply back to me as her Internet connection is very poor where she lives.
