We were blessed with good weather but we had been provided with a superb marquee just in case!
In total just over 400 ex service personnel signed in so we were very busy at the tables on Saturday
We understand from NAM that over 700 attended the
museum over the W/e
The Dakota flypasts took place when it was 8/8 blue.
The evening event at the golf club was a sellout - they did a great job - an excellent buffet and good bar service.
On a more disappointing note - [based on the last reunion in2004] we manned the signing in tables until 1300 on Sunday, only 20 or so turned up to find a near deserted marquee! Needless to say they were very upset to have have missed the action of the previous day. We were as surprised as they were!
All the attendees had been supplied with 2 day passes in order that they could come on site for a final chat or to take another look at the a/c and displays laid on as part of the museum's Salute to the Vforce weekend.
Next time we will have to rethink how we advertise Sunday!
